I’m sure some of you may wonder what my origins are. If you guessed of African descent, you are correct. Both my parents are U.S immigrants from Senegal, a west African country right at the border of the Atlantic Ocean. I was born in the United States, but I lived most of my Β childhood in Senegal. It was only 57 years ago ,on April 4 1960, that it obtained its independence from French colonies. The 4th of April is on of the biggest holiday in Senegal, to celebrate our independence.

My love for silky fabrics is growing exponentially. I find satin to be relaxed and chic at the same time. So when I saw this bomber jacket online, and hat, I just wanted to play with the colors. Blue and pink compliment each other very well, but I challenge it a little by pairing the midnight blue, with pale pink. Everything was pull together by distressed jeans and a cream top. I Kept the Accessories to a minimum, with a choker necklace and silver rings.

I hope you like this look, and I cannot wait for next weeks look!

xoxo, Fatou
